Jack Jacobsen is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), anxiety, and related disorders. Jack is devoted to the use of evidence-based treatments and specializes in the use of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. These therapies, which fall under the umbrella of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), are considered gold standard treatments and the most effective therapies to date for helping clients reclaim their lives from the grip of anxiety. Jack also provides SPACE treatment, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions, a highly effective treatment for childhood and adolescent anxiety that involves working solely for caregivers.

Prior to joining Partners in Wellness, Jack gained considerable experience working in community mental health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and private practice. He has trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Stephen Hayes, the founder of ACT, as well as numerous other internationally known ACT therapists. Jack has also been trained in Exposure and Response Prevention through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) of the International OCD Foundation and by the Cognitive Behavior Institute (CBI). At CBI, Jack received training and ongoing supervision from clinicians trained at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA), the clinic largely responsible for the development of modern ERP. He regularly seeks out and attends ongoing consultation and training in the treatment of OCD and BFRBs.
